West Tower, designed for 432 meters to be higher on the mainland of China, will begin construction later this year and completed by the end of 2009.
Located in the center of Pearl River New Town, the building will be a new landmark in Guangzhou and a first class shopping center in southern China after construction.
The 102-story skyscraper has a budget of 6 billion yuan (U.S. $ 750 million). This will offer a variety of properties including higher-level offices, five star hotels, department stores and international conference centers.
Construction Group-based Guangzhou Yuexiu City was selected as the developer of the West Tower on top of five other real estate companies in Guangzhou, Shanghai and Hong Kong, the company announced Tuesday.
